Hello, hello! Welcome to the newest edition of the Biweekly Bardic Inspiration, the newsletter that seeks to inspire your Tabletop love and creativity every two weeks!
Thanks again to the patience of everyone in uploading this issue. It’s been…a heck of a time on my end. There was a wedding, there were two birthdays including my own, I got my first set of tattoos and lost a sweet snooted friend. But we’re back in order and hopefully on momentum!

✨TTRPG NEWS✨
Geek & Sundry are Back?
Geek & Sundry, the original home channel of Critical Role, for the most part, left the scene after a slew of disputes, legal matters (including one with Will Wheaton) and staff cuts around 2023. The site used to redirect and 404 error until recently!
On August 14th the official Geek and Sundry Youtube channel announced the Sagas of Sundry! A new gaihomebrew actual play series set in an original setting called Sundros. They’re starting with Goblin Mode on September 9th on their youtube. It appears to be an actual-play podcast with a video feed as well and will be available to all.
It’s so wild to see them make this come back post everything. It seemed a lot went down hill post their channel bought out by Legendary Entertainment. If you want more details on how they fell from prominence, consider checking out “What Happened to Critical Role’s Original Channel” by Delver but for now, let’s support them in their comeback!
TTRPGs Gain a Greater Space at PAX Australia
PAX is less than 2 months away and this year is seeing its biggest TTRPG space yet and, for the first time, it has a dedicated TTRPG theatre dubbed the OWLBEAR THEATRE! According to the official website we’ll be seeing a larger impact on card games like Disney’s Lorcana, MTG, it’ll also have a PAX Aus Indie TTRPG Showcase featured in the PAX Rising section too!
I personally have my eye on the Storybrewers new TTRPG - Fight With Spirit which looks to be a Sports Anime inspired game? I don’t know but I AM INTRIGUED!
I will be joining the crew at the Conquest game tables, running sessions of One Honk Before Midnight~ and perhaps you may even see me on a panel in the Owlbear Theatre? Who knows! I hope to see you there though!
You can still get tickets for PAX on the official website!

✨Kick-Ass Kickstarters✨
Something Stormlight this Way Comes
The Cosmere RPG, based on the worlds of Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archive and expanding later into Mistborn has but one week left!
Originally known as the Stormlight RPG and then later expanded into what’s now Cosmere RPG this kickstarter has been making waves with its described “unique system designed by an all-star roster of experienced RPG professionals including Andrew Fischer (Star Wars: Edge of the Empire), Lydia Suen (Legend of the Five Rings), Max Brooke (Warhammer 40,000 Roleplay), and Laura Hirsbrunner (Dungeons & Dragons). It combines a core of d20-based mechanics with purpose-built innovations including talent trees, skill-based magic, and the "plot die."
Further still the world will be expanding and be a “living RPG” that will grow as Sanderson expands the universe of Cosmere novels! I know a lot of folk keen for this and Startplaying is running a collab to help promote it!
Friend of the Newsletter, Leia, from SplitTheParty TV is even running intro games over on StartPlaying! So consider checking those out
A Monumental Kickstarter
Monument Studios is probably one of my favourite new players in the space. You may have heard them as backing tracks to a game or two, or even on our little podcast version of the newsletter as I actually got given their fantasy complete collection of audio tracks as a gift a year ago.
This Kickstarter is part of their official launch of Fantasy+ an audio interface and player with over 5000 cinema and TV grade soundscapes that are stream & copyright safe. Its themes range from fantasy to scifi to horror (which is my favourite collection for Candela Obscura.) Exclusive to the Kickstarter is the Lifetime Subscription at 249 USD, which I am eyeing but that currency conversion to aud makes it about 370AUD. Which is a heck of a thing but I really love their audio!
You will have heard of it’s main competitor Syrinscape probably more than a little and they are very similar but Monument has a focus on homebrew as opposed to creating soundscapes for official modules like Syrinscape does excellently, for cinematic Homebrew though? Monument Studios is amazing.
If you’re interested, consider checking out the Kickstarter !
